Vientiane, Laos – September 8, 2025 – The Faculty of Letters (FOL) at the National University of Laos (NUOL) successfully hosted an E-Journal training session to equip its staff with essential skills for modern scholarly publication. The comprehensive workshop, organized by the Center for the Scientific Journal Promotion (CSJP), covered both theoretical understanding and practical application of online journal management.

Chaired by Dr. Thongmala Phosikham, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Letters, the training saw enthusiastic participation from 15 faculty members, including 5 women. The session began with an insightful theoretical lecture on "Journal Management," delivered by Mr. Keophouthone Hatalong, Director of the CSJP.

The practical segment was expertly led by the CSJP's dedicated journal website team, Associate Professor Dr. Khaisy Salitthilath and Mr. Nilankoun Singpraserth. The morning focused on "Website Installation Techniques," providing foundational knowledge for setting up online journal platforms. The afternoon session delved into "Full-scale Online Journal System Management," offering in-depth guidance on operating and maintaining digital journals effectively.

This training was widely regarded as a significant success, marking a crucial step in enhancing the digital literacy and capabilities of the Faculty of Letters staff. This initiative will undoubtedly bolster NUOL's efforts in promoting and managing its scientific journals within the increasingly digital academic landscape.
